We LOVE serving our delicious cajun gumbo, red beans & rice and po'boys at pop-ups. But, we know many of you have questions- and we want to answer them!
 
To make things easier (and keep our team smiling), we’ve put together a quick FAQ to help demystify some of the questions we've been asked.
 
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
The Gumbo’s Roots: Lafayette, Louisiana
The Staff’s Roots: Could be anywhere!

We know there are a lot of proud Louisiana natives in Atlanta who make gumbo.  Our recipe has been passed down for generations from the heart of Louisiana, but the friendly faces serving you daily? They just work here. 
 
WHAT'S IN THE GUMBO?
  • The Base is made with homemade broth, smoky meats (no pork!), and our rich roux
  • Veggies: Celery, okra, lima beans, red bell peppers, onions
  • Add-Ons: Chicken, sausage, or shrimp (for an extra charge)
 
We serve nearly 2,000 customers per month, so we keep things simple with a “Build Your Own” model. That means YOU get to customize your bowl! And don’t worry—our base has no pork or shellfish so everyone can enjoy.
 
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? 
We focus on Pop-Ups, Catering, & Pre-Orders Only
 
We’ve shifted from a storefront to a prep kitchen setup, meaning we don’t have a walk-in location—but we DO take:
  •  Drop catering orders
  •  Holiday & event pre-orders
WHAT DO WE OFFER AT POP-UPS?
  • Regular Menu Items: Gumbo, Po'boys, and Red Beans & Rice
  • What about the Rice? Rice is included in gumbo and red bean bowls, but rice on the side is an additional $1. Why, you ask? We charge this minimal fee to cover packaging .
  • Protein Add-Ons: Choose from three protein toppings for an additional charge—you're in control of how much you pay!
 
ARE CORN MUFFINS INCLUDED?
Unfortunately, given the rising costs of ingredients and packaging, we are unable to offer complimentary corn muffins.
 
 Before You Ask...
  • No, we don’t have a restaurant anymore. (But we still make  gumbo!)
  • Yes, we take catering orders. (Click the link above!)
